The easiest way to create a contract. Chat with AI in plain English, and it generates a complete, professional contract for you.

The 6 Steps

   Discover — Tell the AI what you need

   Start at /contracts/wizard or click "New Contract" → "AI Wizard" from the dashboard.

   You'll see a chat interface. Type a message describing what you need, for example:

   • "I need an NDA between my company Acme Inc. and a contractor named John Smith"
   • "Create a service agreement for website design work for $5,000"
   • "I need an employment contract for a software engineer starting March 1st"

   The AI will respond, ask clarifying questions if needed, and suggest a template that fits your needs.

   Be specific

   The more details you provide (party names, dates, amounts, scope), the better the AI can fill in the contract. You can always edit later.

   Form — Review and fill fields

   Once the AI picks a template, you'll see a form with fields to fill in. The AI may have already pre-filled some based on your chat.

   Fields typically include:

   • Party names — Who is involved (you and the other party)
   • Dates — Effective date, end date, etc.
   • Amounts — Payment terms, contract value
   • Scope/Description — What the contract covers
   • Jurisdiction — Which state/country laws apply

   The AI chat is still available on the right side — you can ask it to help fill any field.

   Review — Read the generated contract

   Click "Generate" and the AI creates the full contract text based on your inputs. You'll see:

   • A formatted, professional contract document
   • All your fields filled in with proper legal language
   • Standard clauses (governing law, dispute resolution, etc.)

   Read through the contract carefully. You can:

   • Edit text — Click any section to modify it
   • Regenerate a section — Highlight text and ask AI to rewrite it (learn how)
   • Go back — Return to the form to change fields and regenerate

   Always review

   AI-generated contracts are a starting point. Always read the full contract and consult a lawyer for important agreements. AI can make mistakes or miss jurisdiction-specific requirements.

   Send — Email the contract (optional)

   If you want to send the contract to the other party for signing:

   • Enter the recipient's email address
   • Customize the email subject and message
   • Click "Send" — they'll receive an email with a link to review and sign

   You can also skip this step and save the contract as a draft to send later.

   Email tracking

   On Pro and higher plans, you'll see when the recipient opens the email. The contract status changes from "draft" to "sent" automatically.
5. 5

   Sign — E-sign the contract

   Both parties can sign electronically:

   • You sign first — Click "Sign" and draw or type your signature
   • Other party signs — They click the link in the email and sign on their end
   • Once both parties sign, the contract status changes to "completed"

   Self-signing

   On Business Max plan, you can self-sign contracts (sign on behalf of both parties) for internal agreements where you represent both sides.
6. 6

   Done — Contract is ready

   Your contract is now signed and complete! You can:

   • Download as PDF — Export a clean PDF copy
   • View online — Access it anytime from your Contracts list
   • Archive — Move it to archive when you no longer need it active
